Gauge:

11 sts and 8 rows in dc/sc row pattern = 3”

Abbreviations and Special Stitches:

Bobble: [Yo, insert hook into st indicated, draw up a lp, yo and pull through 2 lps] 5 times, yo, pull through all 6 lps on hook.

* Ch 3 (turning ch) counts as first dc of next row.

* All stitches are worked through both loops unless otherwise noted.

* Pattern is written in Standard American Terms.

Pattern Instructions:

Row 1: (RS) Ch 21, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 19 chs, ch 3, turn. – 20 sc

Row 2: (WS) Dc in each sc across, ch 1, turn. – 20 dc.

Rows 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13: Sc in each st across, ch 3, turn. – 20 sc.

Row 4: Dc in next 6 sts, [bobble in next st, dc in next st] 3 times, dc in next 4 sts, bobble in next st, dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, turn. – 16 dc, 4 bobbles.

Row 6: Dc in next 4 sts, bobble in next st, dc in next 7 sts, bobble in next st, dc in next 2 sts, bobble in next st, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, turn. – 17 dc, 3 bobbles.

Row 8: Dc in next 2 st, bobble in next st, dc in next 11 sts, bobble in next st, dc in next 4 sts, ch 1, turn. – 18 dc, 2 bobbles.

Row 10: Rep row 6.

Row 12: Rep row 4.

Row 14: Dc in each st across, ch 1, turn. – 20dc.

Row 15: Sc in each st across, do not turn, do not fasten off. – 20 sc.

Border:

Ch 1, rotate piece 90 degrees to work along end of rows, *sc in end of next dc row, [sc in end of next sc row, 2 sc in end of next dc row] 5 times, sc in end of next sc row, sc in end of next dc row, 3 sc in corner, rotate piece 90 degrees, sc in next 18 sts, 3 sc in corner*, rotate piece 90 degrees, rep from * to *, sl st in first sc, fasten off. – 84 sc,

Finishing:

Weave in ends and block according to yarn contents.
